A Sacred Pause: Yoga & Brainspotting Workshop for Surrender and Renewal

$60.00

Join us for a sacred pause on the first new moon of 2026 —a gentle return to stillness where you can reset your nervous system, release what no longer serves you, and consciously plant seeds of renewal for the year ahead.

Sarah Slater Snyder (LCSW, RYT-200) and Rachel Weyenberg-Micale (LMT, RYT-200) will guide us through a restorative in-person workshop blending these unique wellness practices: Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Expansion Brainspotting. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, attune inward, and begin the new year from a place of grounded clarity, ease, and surrender rather than force.

Date: Sunday, January 18th, 2026

Time: 1pm - 4pm HST

Where: Blue Lotus Kailua (1300 Kailua Rd, Kailua, HI 96734)

Price: $60

During A Sacred Pause, we will guide you through a gentle restorative yoga and yoga nidra practice to support profound nervous system recalibration and embodied rest. Through sankalpa—heartfelt intentions rooted in the wisdom of your body—we will connect with what is ready to emerge in this new cycle. Finally, we will guide you through an expansion brainspotting practice to gently open space for meaningful insight, emotional awareness, and integration, helping you move beyond effort into a state of surrender. Aligned with the energy of the new moon, this experience offers a sacred container to reset, renew, and consciously plant the seeds for the new year.

All levels of yoga are welcome, and no previous experience with yoga, yoga nidra, or brainspotting is required.

About the Practices:

Restorative yoga is a slow, gentle yoga sequence focused on relaxation and grounding. Poses are taken on the floor seated or lying down and are held for three to seven minutes, allowing for deep opening and release.

Yoga nidra is a regenerative guided meditation practice that brings you deep relaxation, moving you into a restful state between sleep and wakefulness. Also known as "yogic sleep" or "effortless relaxation," Yoga Nidra is a deeply effective tool in activating the parasympathetic nervous system and inviting expansive sensations into the energy body.

Brainspotting is a cutting-edge mind/body technique for emotional expansion that targets the subconscious and somatic body. A derivative of EMDR, Brainspotting is an evidence-based, neuroscience-meets-intuition method that can yield a tremendous expansion of positive emotions such as joy, gratitude, and self-compassion. Combining the three practices allows for a profound opening at the body, mind, and soul, and a deep, intuitive connection to one's body, spirit, and true authentic self.

Workshop Plan:

The workshop will begin with a brief explanation of the emotional health benefits of Gentle Yoga through the Chakras, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Brainspotting. We will then move into 45 minutes of Gentle Yoga, 60 minutes of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, followed by 25 minutes of guided group expansion Brainspotting. We will conclude with a journaling exercise and a group debrief. Please bring water, your yoga mat, a journal, and something to write with. All other yoga props will be provided.

Please note that this workshop is not meant to be or take the place of any form of mental health therapy.
